Whilst haemato-oncology experience is not necessary, there must be a willingness to learn about the specialty. Integrity, vision and a desire to take the service forward and expand the nursing role are also a requirement. The job is challenging , interesting and many different protocols means treatment plans are varied. There is a lot to learn, making this an exciting place to work.Main duties of the jobThe post is responsible for the assessment of care needs and thedevelopment, implementation and evaluation of programmes ofcare.- The post is responsible for carrying out all relevant forms ofnursing care without supervision.- The post holder will demonstrate procedures to and supervisequalified and/or unqualified staff.- The post holder will be required to rotate into the Haemato-oncology in-patient ward, outpatient day care unit and the StemCell Transplant unit.- The post holder will be responsible to work varied shift patterns, tocover a 24 hour nursing service.About usThe Clatterbridge Cancer Centre is one of three specialist cancer centres in England.
