Overview:
A leading IT Consultancy are currently recruiting for a Database Administrator to join the DBA & Hosting team. We are looking for candidates who are eager to excel in their DBA career and who hold an interested in working with cloud technologies.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- To undertake investigations and diagnose and resolve database problems within SLA tolerances using database management tools
- Liaise with application developers, support staff and external software vendors to troubleshoot site-specific performance issues, escalating to developers for software fixes or implementing database improvements
- Undertake defined tasks associated with the planning, installation, upgrade, operation, control and maintenance of one or more databases and applications
- Good experience working as a SQL Database Administrator
- Exposure working across different environments
- Enthusiastic and keen to work with new technologies
- Experience working with Azure
- Experience working with Oracle
