Sports & Dance Coaches (Summer school holidays)

Work as a Sports or Dance Coach for a creative, fun, and resonant brand. We offer training to all members of the team with a clear induction, highlighting our expectations and delivery standards. You will be able to use your current coaching or teaching knowledge to inspire the next generation.

This position is ideal for students, teachers or teaching assistants looking for work during the school holidays (hours and days can be flexible).

Kids Takeover is part of the First Step Sports Group, we are specialists in the planning, the organisation and delivery of our cost effective, fun, and inclusive School Holiday Camps and Academy Programmes; for children of all ages. Our programmes are designed to increase participation, develop fundamental skills, and provide lasting memories for all those attending.



We are specialists in our field with extensive knowledge and hands on experience. We have a dedicated in-house team of talented, qualified coaches and event professionals.

The Position

We are seeking enthusiastic and passionate individuals, who thrive when working with children in an active environment to deliver as part of our holiday Sports and Dance program. You must have experience coaching or teaching young people and be able to demonstrate a commitment to coaching to high standards.



This is an inspiring and enjoyable post for confident, knowledgeable, and versatile individuals with the ability to engage young people. You must work well in a team environment, be able to deliver and adapt the sessions by prioritising participant enjoyment and developing participant skills.



Temporary contract - opportunities available for the summer school holidays 2025 Please note a level 2 sports coaching qualification is a minimum requirement for this role Applicants that do not have a level 2 sports coaching or equivalent dance qualification will be offered a level 2 sports qualification course (subject to terms and conditions) 10 - 13ph DOE

Responsibilities:

Deliver a variety of sessions as part of our programme Provide a fun and exciting learning experience Follow our manual, policies, and procedures Be versatile, participate and assist other sessions during the week Be reliable and flexible Demonstrate professionalism and build relationships with parents and children Keep settings clean and tidy Follow all health and safety requirements

Knowledge and Experience Requirements

1 year teaching/coaching experience Level 2 sports coaching qualification/or equivalent dance qualification Experience creating and following lesson plans Excellent organisation and time management skills Experience working with a variety of ages First Aid and Child Protection Training - (these are mandatory qualifications, candidates without them will be offered training, subject to terms and conditions)
