The role of a Sports Coach Play Worker for our holiday club is vital in creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for children to play and learn. As a Sports Play Worker, you will be responsible for facilitating play activities that promote physical, social, and emotional development. You will work closely with children to encourage their creativity and independence while ensuring their safety and well-being.
About us
Schools Out Club is a busy holiday club that looks after children 3-14 years old attend. We run activities at holiday club in two age groups. The younger children 3-7 year olds and the older group 8 years +.
Duties
Supervise children during playtime to ensure their safety and well-being.
Plan, prepare and organise play activities that are inclusive and cater to the diverse interests of children.
Encourage children's participation in various sports and activities.
Foster a positive atmosphere where children feel comfortable expressing themselves.
Educate children on the importance of teamwork, cooperation, and respect for others.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the play area to provide a safe environment.
Communicate effectively with the team, parents and guardians regarding children's progress and behaviour.
Skills
Strong ability in sports coaching to engage children in physical activities.
Excellent communication skills to educate children effectively.
Patience and understanding when working with children of varying ages and backgrounds.
Creative thinking to develop innovative play ideas that stimulate learning.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative.
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple activities simultaneously.

Hours of work:
Must be available to work all school holidays.
Various half day or full day shifts available during school holidays
Requirements for the post:
Position is subject to enhanced DBS check and reference checks.
Online training is provided for the position and must be completed before start date.

Pay: 10.00-12.50 per hour
Expected hours: 10 - 45 per week
