Job Description

We are seeking an outstanding, experienced and enthusiastic sports coach to join our busy and highly successful Sports department, from 30th October 2023. This is a part-time, term-time only role, with extra hours as required. Working days will be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 7:45am \xe2\x80\x93 5:00pm.

The successful candidate will:

• specialise in our core sports (netball, hockey and cricket)
• deliver coaching sessions to pupils in Year 3-6
• be fully involved in fixtures (home and away) during Games afternoons
• deliver PE and swimming lessons
• be willing to deliver clubs before and after school
• be responsible for driving girls to sports lessons at the nearby playing fields and fixtures at other schools by minibus

The successful candidate will also support with Sports administration including: writing the Sports update for the weekly newsletter via Sway; liaising with other schools to organise fixtures; and use of SOCS to publish fixtures and process cancellations.

Coaching qualifications (or a willingness to gain one) are required. The successful candidate will possess previous coaching experience in a school environment, along with the ability to communicate well with pupils to inspire and motivate them in their sporting development.

The interview process will consist of a lesson observation on the afternoon of Thursday 21st September. Successful candidates will be invited to return on Friday 22nd September for a formal interview and written task.
