We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a passionate and motivated Sports Development and Liaison Officer to join our Sports Facilities Team on a part-time basis.



In this varied and rewarding role, you will lead and support a range of sports development initiatives aimed at increasing participation and engagement across the University community. A key focus will be promoting the use of University-owned sports facilities and enhancing involvement in sport-related wellbeing activities.



Working closely with the Students' Union and the Faculty of Health and Wellbeing, you will contribute to high-profile initiatives such as the Elite Sport Programme, helping to drive student recruitment and retention through targeted sports engagement. You will also assist with the day-to-day administration and marketing of our sports services, ensuring effective communication and service delivery.



In the absence of the Sports Facilities Operational Manager, you will act as the primary point of contact for the team and may be required to provide occasional operational support for the facilities.



You will also be educated to A level standard or equivalent and hold a relevant sports qualification, and/ or sports related degree. You will ideally have some management experience within a multi-sports environment, as well as experience of delivering regional sports development projects. Hours of work will be spread across 4 days during the working week - a flexible approach to hours is required as there may be the occasional requirement to attend meetings during the evening or weekends.



The successful candidate will be required to complete a Police check by the Disclosure and Baring Service. The University completes DBS checks in accordance with the DBS Code of Practice.
