Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of speech therapy techniques and be committed to helping learners improve their communication skills. This role involves working with learners aged 13yrs - 18yrs, assessing their needs, developing tailored treatment plans, and providing ongoing support to facilitate their progress.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments of learners' speech, language, and communication abilities. Develop and implement individualised treatment plans based on assessment findings. Utilise evidence-based practices to deliver effective speech therapy sessions. Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, educators, and family members to provide holistic support. Maintain accurate records of learner's assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with professional standards. Stay updated with the latest research and developments in speech therapy practices.

Requirements

Relevant qualifications in Speech Therapy or a related field. Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to speech and language disorders. Understanding of physiology and anatomy as it pertains to speech production and communication. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail in managing client records and documentation. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
