There are many opportunities to participate in training and education and we have strong links with the local pharmacy and medical schools. All Pharmacists are expected to participate in in-house education sessions for pharmacy staff. There may also be opportunities to deliver training sessions to junior doctors and medical students. To develop and maintain clinical pharmacy services in a specialist area or directorate within the overall Trust clinical pharmacy strategy To participate in the provision of other pharmacy patient services functions To promote the safe, rational and cost effective use of medicines by working closely with nursing and medical staff and health care managers To perform the professional role of a Registered Pharmacist, including advice, supervision and co-operation with colleagues, particularly in relation to support/cover for absent colleagues To support patients to achieve their health goals in relation to medicines by providing person centred care As a flexible working friendly organisation, we want to be sure that you can work in a way that is best for us and for our patients, and for you.
