What are we looking for?
We are recruiting for a Specialist Occupational Therapist to join our team as part of the expansion of the neurorehabilitation service. You will be working as part of a larger therapies team to support patients in our state-of-the-art hospital. Our 40-bed neurorehabilitation unit has two dedicated therapy gyms and is designed for the best possible patient experience. Our team uses the latest specialist rehabilitation techniques, including cutting-edge robotic equipment and advanced exoskeletons, to help support our patients recovery.
What will your duties include?
You will be working within a multidisciplinary team assessing, treating and managing your own caseload. You will be developing specialist occupational therapy skills in neurosciences. This role will predominantly cover our neuro-rehabilitation and neurosurgery services providing highly effective, innovative and evidenced based therapy provision.
You will also offer some clinical support to other specialties within Cleveland Clinic London for example orthopaedics and general surgery. The role will have opportunities to develop clinical and non-clinical specialist skills as well as experience within research, service development and progression into future leadership. Additionally, there will be opportunities to work within our \xe2\x80\x9cteam of teams\xe2\x80\x9d model of care alongside specialists within their areas.
What we need from you?
\xc2\xb7 Experience as a qualified occupational therapist in an acute hospital setting and neurorehabilitation. Specifically in the UK.
\xc2\xb7 Evidence of a broad based of qualified occupational therapy experience across different clinical areas
\xc2\xb7 Evidence of working within an multidisciplinary team including external multi agency
\xc2\xb7 Experience of participation and presenting of in-service training
\xc2\xb7 Previous senior occupational therapy experience in relevant post desirable
\xc2\xb7 Experience of discharge planning, referral provision, adaptive equipment provision to support treatment and discharge and the use of appropriate outcome measures
\xc2\xb7 Current registration with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
