We are seeking a dynamic Specialist to join our Financial Reporting & Controls (FR&C) team in London! This role is required to work closely with the Senior Managers and other members of the FR&C team in carrying out their duties. You will develop close working relationships across the Group will include the other Group Finance staff, finance counterparts in subsidiary units. As a Specialist, you will support the Senior Managers in the following areas:

Your Responsibilities:

• Reviewing monthly submissions of allocated subsidiaries for completeness and accuracy and following up on analysed variances/significant movements
• Reviewing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments schedules for completeness and accuracy
• Reviewing quarterly vat returns and corporation tax
• Preparing clear workings and analysis on various regular reporting matters and on an ad hoc basis
• Assisting in monitoring and controlling closing adjustments to ensure books are properly closed and all adjustments flow through to the systems and any external reporting
• Assisting in preparing and reviewing financial statements and other external financial reporting of subsidiaries or Group in compliance with financial reporting standards and company legislation.
• Adherence to and improvement of internal controls (SOX and similar)
• Ensuring compliance with Group financial reporting policies, including liaison with subsidiary finance teams
• Compile Country by Country reporting (CBC) data for Group Tax

Qualifications

• Newly qualified with audit and accounts preparation/review experience. Eligible candidates should have a \xe2\x80\x9chands-on\xe2\x80\x9d approach and larger client exposure.
• Good IFRS GAAP technical skills gained with large and/or listed clients/employer
• Understanding of getting reports out of ERP such as MS D365 or similar
• Sound knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Understanding of application of internal controls (SOX and similar)
• Experience of working with a consolidation & reporting tool/CPM tool such as OneStream or HFM
• Languages: French, Portuguese, Spanish and Arabic is an advantage but not required
• ACA or ACCA qualified or equivalent qualification from a recognised body with sound reputation.
• The ideal candidate will be \xe2\x80\x98Big 4\xe2\x80\x99 audit trained but candidates that can demonstrate having audited large multinational companies or with have worked in a group reporting role in large multinational organisation will be considered.

• Willing to travel from time to time to (possible locations include Brazil, Nigeria, Cameroon, C\xc3\xb4te d\xe2\x80\x99Ivoire, Zambia, Rwanda, Egypt, South Africa, and the UAE).
