Job Description

Career Teachers are supporting a small, independent special needs school in Salford who require a Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2023, on a permanent basis.

With 90 children currently on roll ranging across key stages 1 - 5, together with bespoke curriculums, therapeutic input and small classes, they aim to help each pupil to reach their full potential.

To be considered for a permanent opportunity with this special needs provision, you will have gained some experience working, volunteering, caring or living with a child or young person who has additional needs. Some individuals use alternative communication methods such as PECS, Makaton and BSL so it would be beneficial if you had experience of using these, however it is not essential.

Qualifications are not essential for this role, however this provision have had some great success stories from people with Psychology, Health and Social Care, Childcare and Residential Care qualifications.
