The Technical Spare Parts Coordinator job involves quality checking spare parts are technically correct, and spare parts approval. Newly built workplace, purpose built. Experience of spare parts, aftermarket or hands on engineering in commercial vehicles, agricultural equipment, construction equipment, off-road vehicles, lifting gear or cranes, cherry pickers, scissor lifts and off highway vehicles would be great, or maybe spares desk at a vehicle dealership.

The job involves checking that spare parts delivered are technical correct, identifying obsolescent parts and finding new suppliers for spare parts. Ideal skills include working with spares for agricultural equipment, construction equipment, cranes and off-road vehicles, and finding cost effective non-OEM spare parts. In this role you will deal with repair mechanics, engineering parts suppliers and work with technical drawings and manuals.

This role will involve:

\xc2\xb7Identifying product from technical publications and drawings.

\xc2\xb7Liaising with OEM\'s and parts suppliers to identify common commercial service parts for plant and construction equipment such as concrete mixers, JCB equipment, mobile cranes and agricultural machinery, off road vehicles.

\xc2\xb7Stock rationalization, identifying obsolescent spare parts, identification of duplicated common parts coming from several sources.

\xc2\xb7Dealing with customers (mechanics and engineers) to provide assistance in resolving spares queries.

\xc2\xb7Assist the purchasing team in finding alternative, more cost effective sources of parts, including possible repair options, to help improve parts availability.

This role will suit:

\xc2\xb7A relevant background could include dealerships, mechanical equipment, spare parts desk, for construction vehicles, heavy plant equipment, fleet maintenance, concrete mixers, JCB equipment, mobile cranes, agricultural machinery, off road vehicles, cherry pickers, scissor lifts, etc

\xc2\xb7Experience of plant and construction equipment spare parts, aftermarket or hands on mechanic / fitter could be the right background.

\xc2\xb7Previous experience of the MoD is desirable.

This position is commutable from Banbury and surrounding areas of Oxford, Bicester, Daventry, Brackley and Milton Keynes.
