Spare Parts BuyerThe daily responsibilities of this role will involve collaborating closely with the spare parts team and suppliers to enhance delivery, improve quality, and reduce costs associated with spare parts sales demand.Apply Back to jobsRegisterImportant InformationLocation: Headquarters, Telestack, 3 Bankmore Way East, Omagh, Northern Ireland, County Tyrone, BT79 0NZDate Posted: 10th February 2025Closing Date: 16th February 2025Industry: Manufacturing and EngineeringJob Type: Full timeSalary: Based on ExperienceAbout the roleCreate, modify, and monitor purchase orders for inventory and daily ordering needs.Ensure accurate and timely management of purchase orders.Update and manage 'planned' spare parts inventory levels based on historical consumption data to improve fill rates and delivery turnaround times.Update the ERP system with relevant supplier and item details.Collaborate with vendors to reduce lead times and costs.Expedite open orders to improve delivery turnaround times.Investigate, coordinate, and resolve issues related to rejected materials in collaboration with the quality team.Work closely with production buyers to maximize volume purchasing benefits.Assist finance and stores teams in resolving invoicing and delivery issues.Build and maintain strong vendor relationships.Create and update the spare parts price list.Assist in creating recommended spare parts lists.Perform other duties as assigned.What you will needRequired criteria

• At least 1 year of purchasing experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment, or equivalent relevant experience from other industries.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
• Sound judgment and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Desired criteria

• Experience with ERP/MRP systems is preferred
• Knowledge and experience of the Industry and product knowledge.
• Experience with stocktaking in a manufacturing environment.
• CIPS qualification or a similar certification.
