We are looking for an Analyst to join our Space Team. • Supports the development of the future Transformation Strategy pillar for Space data, reporting and insight, working with key Subject Matter Experts in Space, Retail, Customer Insight Unit, Property, Finance, Data & Digital to land our future ambition to turbo charge our insight provision capabilities.
• Define, develop, originate, and deliver world class space data insight and performance data for the M&S estate and all Business Units.
• Supports the development and inclusion of new insight as well as digital data sources (e.g., In Store Fulfilment)
• Build understanding and capability of space insight with Clothing & Home and Retail to ensure Space data is used to understand their trading performance and set future strategy.
• Deliver new tools and capabilities in the build of future briefs (numerically and visually)

Who you are Your skills and experience will include

• Outstanding numerical, analytical, and interpretive skills - the individual requires a deep understanding of the wider commercial retail world and can derive insight for M&S versus the market, competition, and customer trends.
• Can develop or seek out new sources of data and bring them into the space function for onward application.
• Strong commercial background, with the ability to identify Risks and opportunities for the Business.
• Advanced knowledge of one or more of: SQL, VBA, Power BI & DAX, Python, or R
• Knowledge / expertise in customer, catchment, competitor, profitability data including CACI and ACORN clustering.
