South West Social Mobility Commission Executive Associate

Devon - Cornwall, United Kingdom

Job Description

This new full-time post is available from 23 August 2023 on a fixed-term basis until until 22 August 2026.

Summary of the role

The role is within a small team whose work is to drive the strategy of the newly formed South-West Social Mobility Commission. The Commission is already gaining traction and is being seen nationally as an exemplar of a regional approach to social mobility.

This post would suit someone with project, consulting or policy experience looking to pursue impactful work in the field of educational disadvantage and social mobility. The post holder will need a varied skillset: they will be able to independently source and analyse data from national data-sets; research best practice evidence; and develop relationships with project stakeholders to ensure the team\'s work has broad reach and impact. As the Commission is at an early stage in its development, the post holder will need to be a self-starter who is proactive, adaptable and highly organised. In return, the post offers varied work with high scope to shape the work the team does.
