We are looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join our fine dining restaurant in St Andrews. We are looking for someone with a passion for food and experience in a similar role.
The restaurant will hosts a tasting menu with luxury wine list and unique bar selection in an upbeat atmosphere. The menu constantly evolves, reflecting the seasons, and showcase Scotland's best resources. It is a great opportunity to be involved in a great team and bring something exciting to the town.
About the Role
- Responsibility for assisting the Head Chef with the management of the entire kitchen operation.
- Maintaining driving consistently high standards of produce.
- Training of junior members of staff.
- Daily Stock Control ordering. Identify & source local produce.
- Assist in the design of new dishes
- Input into all areas of kitchen management inc all KPI targets such as GP %, environmental health issues, etc.
The ideal Sous Chef will:
- Experience in a similar sous chef role
- Have experience in a like for like fine dining experience position in a similarly high quality operation.
- Possess a passion and knowledge for food.
- Be driven and focused on first class standards across every aspect of the operation.
- Have shown loyalty and longevity throughout their career.
- Have excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Have excellent personal presentation and be consummately professional at all times.

Salary OTE - rate of salary is on OTE rate with cap at 42,000.
