Job Overview


We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality and food production, with a flair for creativity and a commitment to excellence in food preparation. As a Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, supervising staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Responsibilities



Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and recipe development, ensuring that all dishes meet our high culinary standards. Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes. Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and guidance to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to food safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Handle any customer complaints or feedback regarding food quality or service promptly and professionally.

Qualifications



Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment. Strong culinary skills with a deep understanding of food preparation techniques and presentation. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining hygiene in the kitchen. Excellent leadership abilities with experience supervising kitchen staff effectively. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with team members and guests. A passion for cooking and an eagerness to learn new culinary techniques and trends.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: Up to 14.01 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 45 per week
