We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring that high standards of food quality and presentation are consistently met. This position requires strong leadership skills, a commitment to food safety, and a deep understanding of culinary techniques.
Duties
Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and supervising kitchen staff.
Oversee food production and ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.
Collaborate with the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and inventory management.
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Maintain high levels of hospitality by ensuring exceptional service during meal preparation..
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant setting.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food production processes.
Demonstrated ability in team management and leadership within a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Comprehensive understanding of food safety standards and best practices.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with others.
Passion for hospitality and commitment to delivering high-quality dining experiences.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
