As Sous Chef, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting our Head Chef to lead and motivate a high-performing kitchen team. You'll help develop team skills, build confidence, and inspire a passion for food service, while also expanding your own knowledge and competency in kitchen management.

Your Responsibilities
As Sous Chef, your main duties will include:
Lead and support our kitchen team day-to-day to fulfil the needs of the business
Be responsible for the quality of food and the timing of service from the kitchen on the day. Directing food preparation and supervising kitchen operations
Ensure levels of communication are strong and clear within the kitchen team and hotel operations
Working with the Head Chef to create rotas, plan payroll and staffing levels, aligned to forecasted levels of business
Support the development and implementation of kitchen Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Representing the kitchen team at management and operations meetings, in the Head Chef's absence
Team training and individual mentoring of kitchen team members - fostering a positive culture & working environment
Collaborating with the wider hotel Food & Beverage Team to enhance guest experiences
Assist in menu design and the creation of individual dishes, ensuring compliance with allergen, calorie content and team training requirements
Instilling a strong work ethic and sense of pride in the team
