We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. Duties
Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation activities.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow.
Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
Help create innovative menu items that reflect current culinary trends.
Maintain inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and manage kitchen stock.
Train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety protocols.
Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest quality before serving.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality or restaurant industry. Particularly French cooking experience.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary arts, and kitchen equipment.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
A passion for cooking and creativity in menu development is highly desirable.
