Job Summary: We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The Sous Chef will assist the Head Chef in overseeing the kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food production, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a passion for culinary excellence, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Duties:
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and food preparation
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared and presented according to established recipes and quality standards
- Monitor food production to maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portioning
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and specials
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist in managing kitchen costs by controlling waste, portion sizes, and inventory levels
- Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork, open communication, and professional development
Requirements: - Previous experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, flavors, and presentation
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
