Solutions Architect/Technical Architect (XpertHR)

Key Skills

  • Experience of Software Development or systems engineering
  • Experience delivering software designs for multi-tiered modern software applications.
  • Expert in a plurality of the following technologies: Parallel and Distributed Processing Systems, Information Retrieval, Data Mining, Natural Language Processing, Very Large Scale Databases, Declarative Languages, and High-Performance Computing.
  • Proven experience in design and delivery of Cloud architectures on Azure/AWS.
  • Good understanding of DevOps practices.
  • Experience of data warehousing, engineering and integration technology such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks.
  • Azure Solution Architect or Data Engineering certification is preferable
  • Ability to balance architectural purity with optimal solution to meet business requirements.
  • Strong modelling capability with the ability to clearly represent complex ideas graphically.
  • Hands-on Software Engineering background with knowledge of multiple technologies, development languages and practises e.g. .Net, C#,Python, RDMS, Big Data Stacks.
  • Experience with a plurality of the following operating systems: Windows Server, UNIX (Linux).
  • Strong organization/project planning, time management, and change management skills across multiple functional groups and departments.
  • Advanced problem-solving experience involving leading teams in identifying, researching, and coordinating the resources necessary to effectively troubleshoot/diagnose complex project issues; prior success extracting/translating findings into alternatives/solutions; and identifying risks/impacts and schedule adjustments to facilitate management decision-making.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills applicable to a wide audience including senior and executive management, customers.
Key Responsibilities
  • Leading the design of products/solutions/software to meet stakeholder requirements.
  • Provides architectural and design guidance to project teams, ensuring that the needs of the client are met.
  • Support the development teams in de-risking their solution architecture.
  • Leveraging architectural standards to determine the architecture, technology, and tools required to deliver high quality products.
  • Able to simply and clearly communicate technical design in conversation, documentation and presentations information in a concise and effective manner to clients, management, and various departments using assorted communication medium.
  • Proactively research, monitor, learn, and assess industry/technology advancements and continually build alliances to explore ways to leverage and advance our technical opportunities.
