Our Real Estate Team are looking for a Planning Solicitor to join their ranks, working from either Newcastle or Leeds. We\'re seeking applicants between 2 - 5 PQE with some experience of working within Planning.The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing and negotiating s106 Agreements for housebuilders, registered providers, landowners and local authorities, as well as liaising with clients. Applicants will advise upon CIL regulations, applications and structuring a planning proposal. Additionally, the role will involve advising on certificates of lawfulness and planning enforcement from the initial stages through to inquiry and/or judicial challenge. Regular advice will also be given regarding highway issues, including public rights of way. The successful applicant will also be involved in advising clients in relation to compulsory acquisition and Development Consent Order work, whether promoting authority or objecting to a proposed claim.We\'re looking for someone who is a team player as the role involves project work, often high profile and involving complex areas of planning law. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential as carrying out basic planning due diligence to support the wider team is a key aspect of the role.
