Job Description

Due to our expanding client base and growing demand for private client services, we are currently seeking a talented and experienced Private Client Solicitor to join our team.

Our ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and thrive working in growing business, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future. It is essential that you are a qualified solicitor and genuine specialist background across the normal range of work undertaken by "Private Client" or "Trust and Estate" practitioners, such as Estate Planning and Wills (including Inheritance Tax mitigation and the use of Trusts), Estate Administration, advising on Trusts, "Elderly Client Services", Lasting Powers of Attorney and basic Court of Protection work.

Key responsibilities will include:



Wills and Probate

: Manage a caseload encompassing a range of private client matters including the drafting, amending, and executing of wills, LPAs (Lasting Powers of Attorney), Deputyship Orders, Trusts and Probate administration of estates after a person's death.

Power of Attorney and Guardianship

: Advise on the creation of powers of attorney and guardianship arrangements for clients who may need assistance in managing their affairs due to illness, age, or incapacity.

Trusts

: Provide legal advice on establishing, managing, and administering trusts for asset protection, tax planning, and estate distribution.

Estate Planning

: Assist clients with the strategic planning of their estates to minimize tax liabilities and ensure assets are distributed according to their wishes.

Client Relationships

: Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, offering personalized legal solutions tailored to their needs and circumstances.

Legal Documentation

: Draft legal documents related to wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other private client matters.

Compliance and Record-Keeping

: Ensure all legal matters comply with relevant laws and regulations. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all cases and transactions.

Client Advice

: Provide clear, concise, and expert legal advice to clients, ensuring they fully understand their options, the implications of their decisions, and interests are represented effectively.

File management:

From initial client consultation to case resolution, ensuring accuracy and efficiency throughout. Collaborating with other team members to provide comprehensive legal solutions to clients.

Industry expertise:

Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant laws and regulations pertaining to private client services.

Requirements:



Education

: Qualified Solicitor SQE 2/LPC (STEP would be advantageous)

Experience

: Proven experience in private client work, particularly in wills, probate, trusts, and estate planning. Experience with family law and taxation may also be beneficial.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 48,000.00-58,000.00 per year
