Job Description

This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Solicitor with ambition to work in our private client department. This role will require undertaking fee earning work, working both independently and as a member of the team, maintaining existing relations with the firm's clients and to assist and help develop new relationships with third party referrers.

This would suit someone looking for a unique opportunity of working with high net worth individuals. Working predominantly from our Stratford-upon-Avon hub, collaboration is important so you will need to be able to be in the office, with the team 3/4 days per week.

The work is varied and rewarding, with a good degree of autonomy and encouragement to develop.
What you will be doing:


To undertake fee earning work, working both independently and as a member of the team and provide a profitable contribution to the work of the department. To maintain existing relations with the firm's clients and assist and help develop new relationships with third party referrers. Conduct of private client and related matters on behalf of clients. Administration, there are opportunities to work on all areas of Private Client, including Will and Power of Attorney drafting, Estate Planning, Estate Administration and Court of Protection work. Some experience in trust creation and administration would be an advantage. Willing to participate in the growth and future development on the department, assisting in the build-up of the client database and marketing the firm's services. Maintaining orderly and up-to-date files including electronically and complying with the firm's policies on file management. Completing time recording and other management records required by the firm. Using case management programmes to run cases Liaising with clients (taking messages, arranging meetings etc.), so you should demonstrate professionalism, diplomacy and sensitivity in all your communications. Liaising with other professionals e.g. financial advisers and accountants Legal research Financial control of your own matters with particular regard to cash flow through collection of monies on account and billing procedures. Recognising fee-earning opportunities and develop as appropriate. What you will need:

You will be personable, approachable and with a genuine interest in dealing with individuals and their families.

This role involves some basic accountancy skills for reconciling client accounts, so good numeracy skills and a competent knowledge of Microsoft Excel is important.

You will also need strong written and oral communication skills, being able to adapt your style to communicate effectively with a wide range of clients and fellow professionals alike.

You will be exceptionally organised and used to working efficiently and accurately, in a busy and varied role. You pride yourself on your professionalism, with a personal touch and a high standard of honesty and integrity.

This role is a hybrid position based from our

Stratford-upon-Avon hub

with the opportunity to work from home 1-2 days per week. Possible need to travel to Solihull on an ad-hoc basis for team meetings.
