DWF's Insurance team in Scotland is looking to recruit a Solicitor working in our award-winning counter-fraud team. The successful applicant will act for household name insurers and provide high quality advice on defending a wide range of litigated claims where fraud is suspected. These claims will involve personal injury and property damage, including credit hire.



The role can be based from either our Glasgow or Edinburgh office, and

we offer a hybrid working arrangement on a part time basis. We are happy to discuss flexible working patterns with candidates who wish to apply

Managing a varied caseload of suspected fraudulent motor claims, from inception to resolution. Conduct thorough investigations, including gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and liaising with experts. Draft and review relevant court documents. Representing clients in court and also instruct counsel, where appropriate. Provide strategic legal advice to clients, ensuring the best possible outcomes. Working with our valued and long-standing clients to understand requirements and manage cases in line with service level agreements and best practice. What will help you succeed in this role? :

Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

Post-qualification experience in Personal Injury and/or RTA with litigation experience. Experience of working within a busy commercial environment, handling a varied caseload. Strong technical and commercial expertise, including a thorough grasp of principles and case law. The ability to develop new skills and to use your initiative, with the support of an experienced team. Strong communication skills and attention to detail. Experience of fraud work would be useful but is not essential.
