The team is strengthened by a number of former doctors, nurses and other clinicians and is recognised for its knowledge of the healthcare field.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced Solicitor (minimum of 2 PQE) or Associate level candidate with strong clinical negligence experience to join our Healthcare Litigation team and work alongside them on the extensive range of services we provide.

The Role
?
This role will provide you with the opportunity to join one of the country's leading healthcare law firms.
Our team in Manchester are looking for an experienced healthcare litigation lawyer, who will undertake a wide variety of healthcare litigation work for the NHS and other public and private healthcare providers. There may also be an opportunity to undertake client secondments.
?
Key Responsibilities
?
Duties to include but not limited to;
?
Drafting of reports to clients
Preparation and attendance of trials and mediations;
Interviewing witnesses and drafting of statements
?Cost management;
?Multi-party litigation;
?ADR/mediation agency arbitration;
?Negotiation of settlement;
?Client training including; presentations, seminars and webinars
?
Skills & Competencies:
?
Previous healthcare litigation experience, more specifically handling complex clinical negligence cases, ideally from another panel firm or medical defence insurer or indemnifier
Familiar with issues relevant to our clients within the healthcare sector
?Able to demonstrate and ability of managing/supervising less experienced Solicitors, Trainees or Paralegals (desirable)
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Excellent attention to detail
Strong communication skills
Able to uphold strong confidentiality and ensure compliance with client requirements
Able to work to tight deadlines and targets
Flexible and willing to take on a varied workload
Able to work as part of a wider team
