Your Impact
As an Engineer working on the Axon Investigate team, you'll develop a product used daily in forensic investigations alongside specialists in the field, enabling investigators to effectively understand, investigate and clarify video evidence. You'll provide the tools that enable video evidence to be provided to court rooms in a forensically sound manner. You'll have a solid background in .NET application development, and a passion for providing high quality, robust desktop applications.
What You'll Do
Design, develop, and maintain robust, high-performance software systems focused on video processing, playback, and analysis.
Collaborate across multiple teams, assisting in defining specifications, system architectures, and efficient data workflows.
Prototype and evaluate new technologies and frameworks to advance our video investigation capabilities.
Participate actively in code reviews, mentor peers, and provide technical guidance to Customer Support, Sales Engineers, and Product Management.
Address scalability, performance, security, and reliability considerations proactively in all stages of software development.
Own your deliveries, regularly communicating status, identifying risks, and recommending mitigations to ensure successful outcomes.
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Significant experience developing high-performance desktop applications on Windows, utilizing WPF and WinForms for complex user interfaces.
Strong proficiency in .NET, .NET Core, and C#. Additional languages, including Python or C++ would be a distinct advantage
Demonstrated experience working with video processing, streaming, encoding, or playback technologies.
Good understanding of digital video containers and codecs, with firm understanding of associated concepts
Solid understanding of desktop application deployment, including MSI packaging, installers, and auto-update methodologies.
Hands on experience of modern development workflows, including CI/CD, AI tooling and Automated Testing
