Its an exciting time to join us and be part of that change.The Role:Family Drug and Alcohol Courts (FDAC) are an innovative, problem-solving, and evidenced based multi-disciplinary intervention with families in the court arena. Evidence has shown that FDACs deliver better outcomes for families and children involved in the public family law justice system.The FDAC trained judges work in conjunction with the specialist team to support parents in overcoming substance misuse and related challenges to ensure they can safely care for their children. We have recently created this new and innovative service within Liverpool City Council and are looking for two experienced Social Workers to join the team!Key responsibilities:

• As a Social Worker, you will be skilled and experienced within Childrens Services having worked within Child Protection, Child in Need and care proceedings. You will be social work qualified and hold current Social Work England registration (or due to be qualified and professionally registered within five months of your application being submitted).
• You will have a robust understanding of all Childrens Safeguarding legislation, statutory guidance, and processes, with a proven record of working across all disciplines, including mental health, drug services and domestic abuse. You will work directly with parents, undertaking drug and alcohol screening completing multi-disciplinary assessments and intervention planning. You will regularly attend court hearings and liaise with judges.
• These Social Worker roles will include a strong focus on a relationship approach and complex family circumstances, including addiction and domestic abuse and effective partnership working. This is a unique chance to develop your skills in this specialist area.
• You will be an excellent communicator and team player, assisting with the development of team policies and practice, promoting and maintaining strong collaborative relationships across all multi-agencies.
