The vacancy is available full time & part time. Based at one of the three offices in Wiltshire either Trowbridge, Chippenham or Salisbury.
About the role
CYPDT works with children and young people from 0-18. The team is comprised of social workers, Occupational Therapists and Family Keyworkers, working closely with our Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) colleagues.
The job will primarily involve the assessment, review and support of children with Autism, physical disabilities and significant learning disabilities. Due to the longevity of our work you will have the opportunity to develop strong supportive relationships with the children and families you work with to support change and development. Part of this work is working with professionals in education and health regarding our young people\xe2\x80\x99s transition into adulthood at 18 years old.
We work very closely with the 18-25 Moving on Service to ensure that their needs are assessed and supported prior to this significant transition into adult services. There will be opportunity to work with children on child protection plans, child in need and children in care. The team provides a unique and great opportunity to enhance your skill set. In this important role, you will play a key part in the delivery of quality services to disabled children, young people and their families.
We undertake a mixture of hybrid working. It is important to us to ensure that you feel supported as part of a team and this is encouraged with some mandatory days in the office as well as home and remote working.
About You
You will have up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, guidance and experience in working with disabled children and/or vulnerable young adults.
A Social Work qualification is essential.
