An opportunity has arisen for a Social Work Assistant based with the Mental Health Officer Team.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and motivated and can work under supervision but also on their own, to support the Dedicated Mental Health Officer Team.
The dedicated Mental Health Officer Team works with a wide range of individuals who are experiencing Mental Ill Health providing specific interventions under a legislative framework. This is a dynamic team, and the post provides exciting developmental opportunities working with a wide range of individuals and services.
Fife Health and Social Care Partnership have a range of statutory functions one of those being the supervision and monitoring of Welfare Guardianship Orders. The post holder will initially be trained and supported to help the Mental Health Officer Service update the electronic information system to ensure we have the right information to be able to report on Welfare Guardianship Orders.
This task is likely to take about 3 months and by the end of that, the post holder should have a good understanding of the information system and be able to continue as part of the role to support keeping this up to date and accurate.
There are a number of tasks related to ensuring we have the right information which the successful candidate will be trained and supported to assist with.
There will be a range of direct work supporting people affected by mental illness, which will be directed and closely monitored by a Senior Practitioner Mental Health Officer.

Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
