The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for all Live, Studio and Podcasts on all Greyhound Racing UK social media platforms. We are looking for a self-starter who is able to hit the ground running and work to their own initiative.
The position is home based with regular travel for team meetings and greyhound events. Full support for working from home will be provided including provision of equipment. This is an exciting opportunity for a greyhound racing enthusiast to join a forward-thinking organisation and make a positive difference to promote greyhound racing and homing.

Principal accountabilities and responsibilities
:
To take responsibility of engagement in social media, identifying what is popular and using trends for future posts.
Producing content for all Live, Studio and Podcasts on all Greyhound Racing UK social media platforms including, but not limited to TikTok, YouTube, Facebook and X.
Going to the Live Greyhound events to take social media footage, including clipping up short interviews.
Cut the races, Podcast, Greyhound News tips 'best bits' to create micro social content for all media ensuring it is captioned and follows brand guidelines
Organising content output at strategic times for maximum audience engagement.
Arranging replays to post
Diary management of guests on the studio, Podcast and Live shows
Suggest ideas for potential questions
Helping the Editorial Team writing stories and following up potential news leads.
Creating and posting social media clips from footage sent from the Partnerships or Editorial Team
Assisting with the Marketing Team if required
Qualifications & Experience
Experience in posting for Greyhound racing is a must
Must have own transport as you will be required to attend various locations
Able to think creatively to engage audiences
Basic knowledge of content marketing principles
Familiarity with social media marketing and community management
Proficiency with common marketing tools and platforms
Ability to think creatively to add value to ideas or solve problems
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams etc.)
Passion for detail and timely delivery
