We are looking to recruit compassionate team members to join our team to help support customers with learning disabilities and other complex needs. The role will include all aspects of personal care, cleaning, record keeping and supping people with health and welling issues including attending health appointments.
The aim of the role is to deliver an outstanding service which is person centred in a way that enhances the lives of people with profound learning disabilities offering choice, ensuring the people have a voice and their wishes and decisions are respected.

The role is permanent opportunity covering a variety of shifts to include weekends and bank holidays and may change depending on service requirement (Earlies, lates, weekends & sleep ins).

About You
The successful candidates will:
A positive attitude around person centred approaches to working with individuals with learning disabilities and associated complex needs
A working knowledge of legislation and regulation in regard to delivering care support to vulnerable people
Experience of working within a busy care environment, including all aspects of care (e.g. personal care, manual handling, daily support)
Experience of keeping accurate and compliant records
The ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
Basic numeracy and literacy skills

Punctuality and reliability are essential to meet the requirements of the role, the shifts are early morning's, late finishes and weekend working and waking nights. You may be required to work the occasional night shift when the service is needed
Working in a regulated service it is essential that staff have their mandatory training up to date and preferably hold a level 2 diploma in health and social care or are willing to work towards this. It is important that the successful candidate understands health and social care legislation and CQC fundamental standards.
