skilled Groundworker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks related to groundwork, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This role requires a proactive approach to managing tasks on-site and supervising junior staff when necessary.

Responsibilities

Carry out groundwork activities including excavation, drainage, and laying foundations. Operate machinery and tools safely and effectively to complete assigned tasks. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Supervise junior team members, providing guidance and support as needed. Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure smooth project progression. Report any issues or delays to the site manager promptly. Assist in the preparation of sites for construction projects, ensuring all materials are available and ready for use.

Skills

Proven experience in groundwork or a related field is essential. Strong ability to manage tasks efficiently while supervising others. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work well within a team environment. Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites. Capability to operate various tools and machinery safely. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and project management.
