A social worker role has become available in a Looked After Children Team located near Solihull. As a Qualified Social Worker within the team you will be expected to undertake a range of assessments, formulate and implement permanency plans alongside supporting children to fulfil their full potential.
Social workers within the looked after children team hold a caseload of children and young people. They have responsibility for securing permanency for children with plans of adoption, long term fostering and special guardianship. They also undertake direct work with children and young people and support children in care council events.We have an established, stable and supportive team with a strong focus upon being a good corporate parent. We work closely with our colleagues in the Virtual School, SEND CAMHS, Looked After Nursing Team, Commissioning team and carers to provide a high quality of care.
The role will give you the latitude to help improve the outcomes of children and young people in care by supporting them to build a stable future. As this authority look to strengthen the service provided to unaccompanied children, maintain their commitment to Permanency Planning.
