We are currently hiring for a skilled machinist to join our award-winning HM team.

The

ideal skilled machinist

candidate will have a high level of attention to detail, be motivated, proactive and have a positive attitude. Our workshops are based in Felsted, Essex and you will be joining a talented team of experienced cabinetmakers who have years of experience making bespoke kitchens.

You will be required to undertake the following work

:

Machine timber for a cabinetmaking workshop; Operate and maintain woodworking machines; You will be able to display extensive previous experience of working in a wood machining background, and be fully competent working with rip saws, cross cuts, moulders and associated hand tools; Match materials for colour, grain, or texture; Cut, plane, shape and sand timber and composite materials to a required shape and size; Competent on all types of wood working machinery, able to work alone from lists & drawings, working with all laminates, sheet materials, soft & hard woods. Making both bespoke and volume production items; Set up and operate sawing, drilling, planing and joining machines; Clean and maintain work areas including machinery and tools to ensure safe working environments; and Maintain, identify and analyse technical faults to machinery suppliers' requirements to ensure optimum performance.
Working with CNC and the following software - Woodwop and NC-HOPS is preferable.

This is a full time role. Please note our workshop operates from Monday-Thursday 8am-4pm, Friday 8am-2pm.
