A leading civil engineering company specialising in bridge and infrastructure maintenance is looking for an experienced Site Agent to oversee a range of bridge projects across the UK. If you have a strong background in bridge works - particularly concrete repair, structural painting, and steel structures - this is an exciting opportunity to take on a leadership role in project delivery.Role Overview:As a Site Agent, you will be responsible for the overall management of site operations, ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires extensive experience in bridge maintenance and refurbishment and a solid understanding of construction processes, with a focus on health and safety, team leadership, and project coordination.Key Responsibilities:xc2xb7Lead and manage site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient project delivery.
xc2xb7Oversee all bridge-related activities, including concrete repairs, structural painting, steelwork, coating, jacking, scaffolding, grit blasting, and structure renovations.
xc2xb7Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations on-site (SMSTS qualification required).
xc2xb7Drive project progress, ensuring work is completed on schedule and within budget.
xc2xb7Act as the key point of contact between site teams, project managers, and clients.
xc2xb7Manage and monitor site resources, including materials, plant, and labour, to maximise efficiency.
xc2xb7Implement and enforce quality control measures across all aspects of the project.
xc2xb7Identify and resolve on-site issues swiftly and effectively.
xc2xb7Prepare and deliver progress reports to senior management.Skills & Qualifications:Essential:xc2xb7Valid CSCS Card.
xc2xb7SMSTS qualification.
xc2xb7Proven experience as a Site Agent or in a similar leadership role within bridge maintenance or civil engineering.
xc2xb7Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations and site management best practices.
xc2xb7Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.Desirable:xc2xb7Experience in concrete repair, structural painting, steelwork, coating, jacking, scaffolding, grit blasting, or similar works.
xc2xb7Knowledge of bridge maintenance materials and processes.
