Glasgow Caledonian University\'s IT department is a central professional service department that provides IT services to all GCU campuses across the UK. The Information Technology department supports the University by delivering technology-based services for research, teaching and learning, to enable on and off-campus learning and engagement.
The post holder is required to provide support for the ongoing development, maintenance and operation of the Student Information System (SIMS) on Tribal SITS platform. This role involves working in partnership with the SIMS Business Support Unit.
The successful candidate will have a track record of experience in successful Tribal SITS implementation and knowledge of SITS/ e:vision development or similar student records management applications. The candidate should also have experience of supporting system users of a major corporate database, alongside a commitment to the provision of excellent customer service.
They should hold a degree or recognised IT/ information qualification and/ or ability to demonstrate extensive relevant experience. The candidate should understand the operational requirements and challenges of supporting high availability IT systems within a complex organisation and have the ability to work effectively and accurately whilst under pressure in a business-critical environment.
Ideally, the successful candidate would have experience of Power BI and knowledge of Power Query, with the ability to demonstrate experience of the software development lifecycle.
