Job Description

We are currently working with an engineering consultancy who are looking to expand their Signalling Design office in Stockport by recruiting a Signalling Design CRE/Verifier. As Signalling CRE you will be responsible for the day-to-day technical management of a team of Signalling Designers, engaging with sub-contract design suppliers, progress reporting to the Service Director and attendance at technical review meetings.

As Signalling Design CRE your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for the provision of technical advice and guidance on our full range of projects.
• Ensure engineering excellence is achieved throughout the life cycle of the project, from design and implementation through to completion.
• Manage your resources and team effectively to deliver against agreed plans and budgets.
• Undertake Duties of CRE Signalling & CEM where required.
• Manage a concurrent portfolio of work.

Job requirements:

• Gained significant demonstratable experience working within Signalling Design/Engineering and be able to undertake the roles of Contractors Responsible Engineer (CRE) or Contractor\'s Engineering Manager (CEM) as required.
• IRSE Engineering Manager (Design) / Principles Designer License
• IEng / CEng Accreditation
• Strong knowledge of Signalling Principles and Standards
• Knowledge of Signalling design practices and procedures
• Experience of project delivery to cost and programme.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels both internally and externally.
• A \'self-starter\' with drive, positivity, enthusiasm, and a strong desire to succeed.
• Excellent communicator, both written and oral, with the ability to adapt communication style to suit different circumstances.
