W.S. Rogers & Son a local butchers and delicatessens in the bustling village of Masham are now recruiting for a part time

Shop Assistant

to become part of the family.

The key attributes that we are looking for is someone who is friendly and confident with attention to detail who can engage with our local loyal customer base and has a passion for top quality food.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain quality, fresh and attractive displays of food throughout the trading day to promote sales Opening & closing of shop Setting and topping up service counters Food preparation Assist customers with their inquiries and provide excellent customer service Maintain a clean and organised shop environment Stock shelves and ensure products are properly displayed Assist with inventory management and restocking of supplies Operate cash register and handle transactions accurately Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with customers and team members Attention to detail and ability to multitask Deliver outstanding, friendly and helpful service, helping remove barriers and creating moments that matter for our customers, highlighting the traditional skills and fresh products we offer

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:

Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills Familiarity with food safety regulations and practices Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision Excellent communication and customer service skills Understanding of how to maintain high hygiene standards, including correctly washing and storing meat cutting tools

dependent on age and level of experience

This role requires proof of Eligibility to work in the UK
