Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Shop Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient operation within the shop. This job will involve working for 12 hours per week over 2 days, one of which will be a Saturday. This position involves assisting customers, managing stock, and maintaining a clean and organised environment. A strong focus on customer service and effective communication is essential for success in this role.
Duties
serve customers in a pleasant and friendly manner sort donated goods as required reconcile till at the end of the day and bank money actively promote and administer the Gift Aid Scheme be responsible for opening up and closing the shop when required
Essential Criteria
proven retail shop experience experience in cash handling and operating a till
Preferable criteria
knowledge of government's Gift Aid scheme experience in pricing donated goods experience of working or volunteering in a charity shop experience of keyholder responsibilities basic computer skills
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: 12.60 per hour
