Location: Neath Port Talbot Hospital, Wales
Contract: Permanent, full time - 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday + out of hours on-call rota
Responsibilities
As a Shift Technician, you will deliver a combination of electrical, mechanical, water and building fabric Planned (PPM), Reactive and Extra Works engineering services. You will be assisting in ensuring Kier deliver a safe, customer focused, cost effective, efficient, and compliant service in order to meet its contractual and legal obligations.
Your day to day will include:
Various PPM tasks including, but not limited to, tap testing, flushing & fixing, legionella tests, pump/compressor fault diagnosis, assessing plant equipment, fire alarm, emergency lighting, fuses, desk management, HVAC, AHU\xe2\x80\x99s & compressors maintenance, and other general maintenance works within your abilities such as minor fabric, electric, plumbing & heating repairs.
Electrical activities from minor lighting and power installation works, re-lamping of fittings to general repair, socket replacement
Carrying out electrical tests such as annual emergency light testing, DB and RCD checks, testing and certification of all works in accordance with NICEIC regulations.
Who are we looking for?
This role of Multi Skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician is great for you if:
You are a proactive Engineer and Qualified Electrician (e.g. Level 3 NVQ/City & Guilds 2360, 2330, 2356, 2357, AM1/AM2, or equivalent), with 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671:2018 / Level 3 C&G 2382) certificate
You have fault finding and reactive repairs experience, being able to conduct first line response of M&E equipment, ranging from AHUs, air conditioning, pumps, pressurisation units, generators, fire alarm, security, and access control systems
You have the ability to conduct a variety of building & facilities maintenance tasks, including, but not limited to, electrics & lighting, water & plumbing, HVAC, AHUs & compressors.
You should also be comfortable working on ladders, in tight spaces, and in plant rooms; working alone or in a team; and be comfortable moving/transporting tooling & access equipment of all sizes & weights.
Due to the nature of this position, you should be able to participate in the on-call rota system covering out of hours and weekends.
