Shift Supervisor

We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for a new Shift Supervisor to join us in our Fulfilment Centre in Kettering. Supporting the Fulfilment Centre Manager and the other Shift Supervisors, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be a true team player with strong leadership skills.

This will be predominantly on the early shift: 4 days Monday to Friday \xe2\x80\x93 7.00am to 3.00pm and 1 weekend day 9.30am to 5.30pm but will need to be flexible to cover for the wider management team as needed.

• You\xe2\x80\x99re no stranger to working within a logistics / warehousing environment and you\xe2\x80\x99ve got a strong understanding of what it takes to support the smooth running of a successful operation.
• You\xe2\x80\x99re a natural leader \xe2\x80\x93 line managing up to 30 warehouse operatives means you\xe2\x80\x99ll need to be a people focused leader who can motivate your team and drive great performance.
• You love sharing your great ideas \xe2\x80\x93 we\xe2\x80\x99re a growing business and we\xe2\x80\x99re always looking for great people who can come up with ideas to help to make our warehouse a great place to work.

What will you be doing?

• You take accountability to ensure warehouse processes are managed effectively to ensure customer satisfaction and great performance.
• You support your fellow Shift Supervisors and the wider warehouse management team, collaborating and communicating effectively with each other.
• You successfully lead your team of up to 30 Warehouse Operatives, with a focus on driving engagement and development, as well as efficiently carrying out key people processes.
• You identify opportunities for improvement, always looking for ways we can drive effectiveness and efficiency, with a key focus on ensuring that the warehouse is a great place for our people to work.
• You know how to solve any issues that may come your way. Problem solving is your thing and you\xe2\x80\x99ll be able to resolve any problems in a proactive manner.
• You always think health and safety first, supporting the Fulfilment Centre Manager in targeting 0 lost time accidents, and ensuring training is completed and maintaining relevant statutory reporting.

What are we looking for?

• An experienced leader and people manager who can motivate, coach, and positively challenge a large team to achieve stretching goals and targets.
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude who isn\xe2\x80\x99t afraid to get stuck in and deal with the ever-evolving requirements of a rapidly growing company.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft packages and Warehouse Management Systems.
• A great communicator, verbally and in writing to ensure engagement and influencing of the warehouse team, internal and external customers.
• Flexible but organised approach to adapt to the fast paced and evolving requirements of a top-class fulfilment centre.

• Proven experience in identifying areas of improvement and suggest and implement practical solutions to support this.
• Previous experience working within an e-commerce environment.
