About the Role: Responsible for the reliability of assets and ensuring our production departments are operating at peak performance.
This is a full-time, permanent post working on a 2-shift rotation.
Week 1 - 6am - 2pm Monday to Thursday and 6am - 12pm Friday
Week 2 - 2pm - 12am Monday to Wednesday and 2pm - 10pm Thursday
Rate of pay is starting from 40,000 per annum, dependant on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivery
Meet targets and prioritise work according to the department plan
Ensure planned and preventative maintenance is carried out as required.
Critical spares - having the right stock available based on asset criticality and ensuring stock management and control processes are in place
Ensure quality standards meet specifications
Drive continuous improvement
Ensure department is clean and orderly at all times
Use problem solving techniques to support decision making
Deputise for Head of Department
Control of department costs
Monitor performance identifying any performance related issues and implement capability or disciplinary procedure when required
Duty of care to ensure the health and safety of your team
Conduct recruitment activities, on-boarding, one-to-one meetings and PDRs
Manage absence including but not limited to holidays and sickness absence
Ensure effective communications with your team including running shift meetings, white boards and shift handovers

About You
Required
Have completed a recognised apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering AND/OR hold a Higher National Certificate (HNC) or equivalent experience
Have a solid understanding of asset performance and maintenance philosophy
Experienced in using computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS)
Be commercially aware and embody the company's leadership behaviours
