We have a fantastic opportunity for an Shift Engineer to join our site in Milton Keynes.





We are looking to recruit a Shift Manager to ensure the smooth and effective running of maintenance operations across the site. This role will be responsible for keeping the site maintenance plan consistently up to date, supporting stock control to ensure all critical spares are available and replenished, and overseeing visiting engineers to make sure they follow all factory rules and safety procedures. The ideal candidate will play a key part in maintaining operational efficiency and ensuring compliance across the site.

Working Hours, location and salary:





3 on & 3 off (Day shift, 38.5 hours per week)



Salary: 47,380 per annum



Location: Milton Keynes




Main Duties and Responsibilities




Working closely with the Production Managers to ensure that machinery downtime is kept to a minimum and that all preventative maintenance is planned in advance to avoid production disruption Promote and ensure safe working practices at all times across the site and attainment of Production plan on a daily basis within planned hours and planned manning levels Implementing a development plans for the engineering team on site Achieving daily service levels around external and internal customer requirements and ensuring the site is compliant to audit standards Ensuring the maintenance of the facilities and fabrication of the site Involved in the engineering budget and appropriate investments to drive continual improvement and monitoring colleague engagement scores and staff turnover levels The delivery of Continuous Improvement culture and legal compliance within the engineering function Plan reactive and proactive maintenance on a variety of packaging and process equipment Works conducted should not jeopardise food safety or legality Maintain documentation to provide historical records of breakdowns and PPMs Involvement with a number of projects from machinery upgrades to building work Help to identify spares requirements and maintain stock levels as needed Operate in a safe manner, ensuring at all times, any risk to self and others, is kept to a minimum Adhere to all company health & Safety policies and practice Respond in a timely manner to breakdowns & feed the information back through the Managers Coordinate projects & direct technical activities to accomplish goals Carry out any other reasonable duties as required Work with production to facilitate optimum running time of lines Carry out regular maintenance, PPMs and reactive, where directed Ensure all required paperwork is kept maintained and up to date throughout the department Communicate technical & operational issues, quickly & effectively to relevant departments Attend meetings as and when required Support or lead on projects and improvements and meet due dates Help to develop strategies to reduce downtime



Essential Skills, Experience and Qualifications




Experience of working in a food manufacturing environment FMCG/Food Production Experience. Packaging machines experience. Food Hygiene Level 2 HACCP trained Level 2 18th Edition Electrical Qualified
