Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Engineers to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in engineering principles and demonstrate proficiency in various technical tools and methodologies. This role is pivotal in driving innovative solutions and enhancing product development processes.

Working an average of 42 hours per week, the working pattern is based on 12-hour shifts rotating across a continental shift pattern which includes days, nights, and weekends within a 4-week cycle.

Shift Engineer responsibilities include:

Ensure the production facility is operating at optimum speed and efficiency producing excellent quality product by maintaining, repairing, and improving plant/equipment Ensure statutory maintenance activities are planned and managed effectively Perform risk assessment as appropriate Take part in regular inspections/audits for good housekeeping/6S and machine safety and ensure agreed action is completed Carry out problem solving and diagnostic checks on mechanical and process equipment, recommending changes and improvements Remove and replace major electrical components (such as motors, switch/control gear) and troubleshoot electrical circuits safely Experience of PPM systems

Qualifications

A degree in Engineering or a related field is essential. Proficiency in CAD software, particularly SolidWorks, is required. Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices. Experience with MATLAB for data analysis and algorithm development is advantageous. Familiarity with system design concepts and methodologies is preferred. Ability to read and interpret schematics effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration within teams.
