Amjutan is a growing company specialising in the delivery and installation of water networks for residential and commercial developments.
As part of our continued success, we are now NERS accredited and are approved to design and deliver new electricity connections in addition to our existing water network scopes.
As part of our growth, we are seeking a SHEQ Compliance officer to fulfil a crucial role within the business to lead our health, safety, quality and environmental functions.

The SHEQ compliance officer will be responsible for ensuring that all our operations meet the highest health, safety, quality and environment standards. This role will be developing, implementing and maintaining HSQE policies, conducting audits, manage/ review risk assessments, promote a culture of continuous improvement across the business, play a key role in safeguarding the well being of all staff including contractors and clients while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain HSQE policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
Conduct regular audits and inspections of site activities, ensuring adherence to health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis, ensuring that corrective actions are implemented and shared across the business.
Provide guidance and support to operational staff in developing and maintaining risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work.
Monitor and report on HSQE performance analysis, identifying trends, risks, and areas for improvement.
Drive a proactive safety culture through training, awareness campaigns, and leadership engagement at all levels.
Collaborate with the senior management to align HSQE strategies with business goals and objectives.
Ensure the effective management of environmental and sustainability initiatives, minimising the organisation's environmental impact.
Provide expert advice on legislative changes, industry standards, and best practices, ensuring that the business remains compliant and ahead of potential future developments.
Manage and maintain the HSQE management system, ensuring accreditation is upheld and continuously improved.
Maintain records and documentation, ensuring they are accurate, up to date, and in compliance with industry standards.
Handling customer complaints and ensure a satisfactory outcome.
Manage the training matrix and regularly review company training requirements.
Schedule all aspects of external training including refreshers.
Sub-Contractor management/approval/PQQ.
Regular review of internal policies and procedures.
What We're Looking For
We need a highly organised, proactive, and experienced HSQE professional with a strong track record in managing health, safety, quality, and environmental functions within a dynamic operational environment.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Proven experience as an HSQE compliance officer or in a similar role within utilities, construction, or industrial sectors.
In-depth knowledge of health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations, including but not limited to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
Strong ability to develop and implement HSQE strategies and policies that drive continuous improvement.
Experience conducting audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety inspections.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels of the organisation.
Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, regulators, and stakeholders.
Hold relevant HSQE certifications (NEBOSH, IOSH, etc.) and/or a degree in a related field.
