Job title: SHE Advisor \xe2\x80\x93 Construction (12 month FTC)

Salary: Circa \xc2\xa340,000 Dependent on experience
What you\xe2\x80\x99ll be doing:
\xc2\xb7 Providing competent Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) advice, governance and assurance for construction projects and allied activities, both in the office and on project sites within the UK, and SHE advice for overseas projects if required
\xc2\xb7 Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for construction SHE advice to Project Managers (PMs) and Engineers and the application of the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations (CDM)
\xc2\xb7 Supporting our PMs review the suitability of construction phase plans and supporting documentation and assist with monitoring SHE performance of our supply base across project sites within the UK
\xc2\xb7 Focusing on supporting projects delivered by the Real Estate and Infrastructure team of Shared Services Specialist & Infrastructure Support (SIS) and providing SHE support to any Shared Services team or BAE Systems Business Unit as the need arises.
\xc2\xb7 Supporting the SHE Function and SIS Leadership Team by helping to record, collate and report relevant SHE data and business metrics.
\xc2\xb7 Motivating and coaching others to appropriately consider SHE during decision making within their teams & projects.
\xc2\xb7 Supporting the development and deployment of SHE strategy, policy and objectives across a number of sites in the UK
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
\xc2\xb7 Hold an in-depth understanding of construction industry SHE requirements and external best practice
\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of CDM Regulations
\xc2\xb7 NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety, NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction (UK), or an equivalent RQF/CQFW Level 3 SHE qualification
Desirable:
\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of SHE management system certification standards (ISO14001 & ISO45001)
\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of construction contract management and project management

The Real Estate and Infrastructure Delivery team:
You will be joining a team working on a variety of projects (building services refurbishments, fit outs including roofing, HVAC & Environmental Projects for example). Through being exposed to a range of SHE construction activities, you will support the business as we make our facilities more sustainable (carbon net zero).
