Job Title: Data Governance Manager

Salary: Circa \xc2\xa370,000 +

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll be doing:

\xc2\xb7 Ensuring the continued development of Shared Services data governance capability and services to support the continuous improvement and effective management of our data

\xc2\xb7 Developing the Data Governance team and working effectively with Shared Services Data Owners and Stewards, Data and Analytics and the wider business

\xc2\xb7 Effective prioritisation of data governance development and activity to meet strategic and tactical objectives within Data & Analytics, Shared Services, and wider BAE Systems

\xc2\xb7 Strategic direction and development of data governance within Shared Services to meet the wider strategic objectives of Group Function IM&T and BAE Systems

\xc2\xb7 Defining and maintaining Shared Services data governance controls including procedures, processes, methods, guideline, and definitions

\xc2\xb7 Ensuring Shared Services application of data governance is aligned and compliant with Group Function IM&T data governance

\xc2\xb7 Actively promoting both Group Function IM&T and Shared Services specific data governance within Shared Services and gathering feedback on their application

\xc2\xb7 Providing data governance and management advice and guidance to business teams to influence, facilitate and implement data improvement, quality, and security

\xc2\xb7 Developing effective relationships with Shared Services Senior Leadership Team, Data and Analytics, Data Owners and Stewards, data consumers, Group Function IM&T and other Sector and Function data management teams

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

\xc2\xb7 Proven experience of working as a Data Governance Lead

\xc2\xb7 Good data governance management and developing/delivering data experience

\xc2\xb7 Good business and technical knowledge with a broad understanding of technical environment in which data works

\xc2\xb7 Define, implement, and drive data governance through an organisation

Desirable:

\xc2\xb7 Understanding of information data architecture

\xc2\xb7 Data management tools exposure

\xc2\xb7 Understanding of information governance data management lifecycle

The Shared Services Data & Analytics Organisation team:

To support Shared Services Data Governance Oversight Board in leading data governance and management across Shared Services and wider BAE Systems. To escalate data and data governance issues to the Data Governance Oversight Board, as necessary, and disseminate strategic decisions and direction to the wider business.
