The role

We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for a Solution Consultant to join our Salesforce Marketing Cloud Practice team reporting to our Salesforce Practice Lead. Our offering includes implementations, migrations, technical consultancy, and managed services projects. This is a business consulting role requiring a good level of technical platform knowledge and marketing domain expertise. Merkle can deliver the full depth of the SFMC platform, which includes SFMC Engagement, Account Engagement (B2B), Personalisation, Data Cloud and Tableau / Datorama. We offer solutions to brands that are looking to accelerate business growth through hyper-personalisation and connected customer experiences. Our Solution Consultants focus on three main areas:

  • Pre-sales Support - Collaborate with our growth and client service teams to help accelerate the sales process and onboard happy clients:
  • Run \xe2\x80\x98Phase Zero\xe2\x80\x99 projects covering detailed discovery and solution definition for specific work-packages (including writing BRDs) or wider programmes covering a range of Merkle / DAN services
  • Pricing of Fixed Price Projects, designing high-level Solution Architectures, writing up of Statements of Work (contracts)
  • Define clients\xe2\x80\x99 CXM strategy, roadmaps and budgets
  • Consultancy Support \xe2\x80\x93 Work with our clients in an advisory capacity to help them accelerate value from technology; you\'ll specifically deliver:
  • Platform audits, Technology Platform and Vision Value Roadmaps
  • Defined journeys and use cases
  • Solution Design for SFMC
  • Retained strategic advisory role on main accounts to ensure client satisfaction and retention
  • Capability Enablement \xe2\x80\x93 Work with our our teams to help accelerate their adoption of new technology, features and techniques; specifically in the following areas:
  • Expertise around our main technology partnerships and knowledge share
  • Skills development, partner certification and service improvement based on evolving technology capabilities
This is a role with many aspects that you will need to balance daily including:
  • Work on multiple complex projects for different clients at the same time
  • Be the Solution Lead on main Clients, building their roadmap and providing strategic advice whilst building the commercial opportunity for Merkle with the Client Partner and/or Sales Lead
  • Lead delivery of large programmes of work
  • Lead new business qualification so that we are focusing on the right opportunities
  • Provide pre-sales support for growth and client services teams including proposal writing, pitch delivery and statements of work.
  • Work with your peers in other dentsu EMEA Markets (Spain, The Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Nordics) and other global regions to define best-practice methodologies for the best use of marketing technology
  • You will require a reasonable amount of travel to clients across the UK & EMEA


Qualifications
What we are looking for in you
We are looking for someone from a consultancy / agency / software background with experience of CRM, Marketing Automation, CDPs and data-driven customer marketing programmes. Costing solutions, writing proposals and statements of work is a huge plus. We need you to evidence the following skills:
  • Experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud or relevant similar platforms such as Adobe, Bloomreach, Braze or other major MarTech vendors
  • Commercial experience \xe2\x80\x93 costing solutions, writing statements of work for clients
  • Advanced level Excel (can perform complex functions) and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge on Salesforce Marketing Cloud and the latest product releases
